Also, the penance stare isn’t an automatic win. It likely doesn’t work on Superman and in general it has a limit. I like to think of it as certain characters of a certain power are just immune to it. Would the penance stare work on the living tribunal? A beyonder? Etc etc

Makes sense, but what if magic is different enough from blaster fire that it can’t be blocked? What if vader can’t predict what to expect from the magic, such as when voldemort extended his robes in darkness in the final movie? Of course voldemort might be caught off guard by vader using the force. There’s also the fact that magic requires the user to say words to cast, while Vader can just choke voldemort by just thinking about it. That said, if voldemort was that good, he should have been able to master silent casting. My guess is the only reason he bothered saying the words of his spells was either for the audience watching the movie or reading the book, or because he had some reason to prefer saying the words out loud.

Two big differences between these two are that omni-man needs oxygen and Superman doesn't, and Superman would only have to drag omni-man into the sun and hold him there given that viltumites can't handle that type of heat and superman would just get super charged.

People commenting how Jiren would be one shotted etc etc, have very less or no idea how powerful Jiren actually is. 6:00 i'm sick of the plane arguement. If you attempt to lift the weight of a plane using a surface area as small as a human hand you will punch a whole through the fusilage. Assuming he can support something as heavy as a plane, and can support it while in flight, he still couldn't lift a plane without destroying it and dooming everyone on board. Sure the screen writers could be suggesting he needs a surface to push off of, but thats kinda debatable, as the surface he could push off of would be the same surface thats keeping him in the air, and propelling him at mach speeds. An invisible force capable of pushing a human fast enough to break the sound barrier is gonna be a pretty solid force to push against. A normal person can't push stuff while in the air, sure. A normal person also can't fly tho lol. It's more likely the writers were acknowledging that just like in the truck scenario he'd punch a whole in the plane. That or they are suggesting he isn't strong enough for it. As to the scene of the collapsing objects overhead, he prolly just wasn't prepared for it. You ever try lifting something without flexing? Doesn't work. Saying he can't lift stuff in the air is actually more illogical than saying he can if you accept that he can fly without any for of weight, wind, pressure, or telekinitic manipulation. He's flying without wings. Nuff said.

Red death speed blitzes and is smarter than cosmic ghost rider. Problem is rider can only be hurt by holy weapons and killed by his own creator. Even if he couldn’t touch red death, he can’t die. I mean if anything it might be a stalemate. But If the rider can use the penance stare it would effectively neutralize red death. But he’d have to be fast enough to catch him. The power cosmic may help him bridge the gap a little but there’s still nothing in fiction faster than the speed force.

Thanos has a more interesting backstory imo. But darkseid just has that “cool” factor. Pulls up all arrogant with his hands behind his back, and just DECIMATES. Darkseid and Dr. Doom are just super slick cool villains.

Just with his super speed superman can tear homelander appart not to mention he can throw him into the sun like a piece of paper into a trashcan. In fact in his peak superman s heat vision is like a scalpel that can cut parts of your brain through your pupil. And eventhough superman might eat from time to time he is nourished by the mighty sun and can store charge for days. The only super hero stronger than him is doctor manhattan but that is basically because he is a god that can rearrange matter. So homelander is as far as superman is from doctor manhattan. Yet a better contender would be Invincible who is probably between homelander and superman.

Why doesn't anyone understand homelander was only winning that fight because soldier boy was severely weakened? When someone doesn't understand that, it discredits anything else they say.
